Just finished a run of 4 gigs in 2 weeks.

Riskee and the Ridicule
Frank Carter and the rattlesnakes
Simple Plan
You Me at Six

Saw Frank Carter at a festival a few years back, not stuff I'd listen too but it was a great show he put on.
You Me At Six another great live band

Listened to that earlier, the guitar and bass are superb. They eventually changed into a bit of a joke but the first 3 albums are still to this day superb.

Got me thinking, pick some bands that at some point were great but became ****.

Pains me to say it, but bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins

Maybe a bit harsh to say they are ****, but they all just became a bit meh

INXS probably have to take a special award for replacing Michael Hutchence via a reality TV show

Interesting selection I agree in RHCP though, only one good album imo, Smashing Pumpkins yeah Gish was brilliant then a couple of good ones followed by some awful albums. Jane's Addiction though I love.

Now the first album is just brilliant imo, just listen to that guitar and the absolutely raw sound. Hair metal was ****ing terrible but there were a few good moments.

I haven't listened to Jane's Addiction for years, but the albums Nothings Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual are immortal.

RCHP should have stopped after Blood Sex Sugar Magik. I loved everything before, but then they just became too much of a rock ballad band

Bit of a random one, but Jefferson Starship. They were what became of Jefferson Airplane, a classic case of 'you should have quit whilst you were ahead'

Love the guitar in it, if only the singer would stfu for a few minutes lol, good intro, and I recognise the riff around 1.20 but can't place it at the moment. Not something I would normally choose to listen to, but you done it again Luv, got my brain exploriing it, bastard lol.

The guitarist is really talented and holds it all together for a young group who had no clue.
