I was looking at some youtube versions of playing wish you were here today, by Pink Floyd, chords, intro, riff, theory. I'd never noticed the connection with Wonderwall before until today lol - maybe I had but had not consciously realised it.
My lad needed some lessons, his tutor said he has the natural style of Rogrr Walters and Robin Trower, consequently been listening to Wish you were here, amongst a few others recently
Great voice but those legs , saw them on their first album tour, did I mention those legs. **** can't believe it was 2014
Good that your lad is getting lessons in. I've hardly touched my guitar recently, time just flies is my excuse.
Yeah, he was self teaching but got a little stuck, a mate said he'd give a few pointers, turned out he's bought him on leaps and bounds, writing his own stuff now, early days but most importantly, he's really enjoying it. His tutor is a bit decent , here he is.
Pretty impressive that, can't go wrong with a tutor like that and someone as impressive as that will always make you want to play and aspire.
He's just formed a new band, my brother in law, joined them to play rhythm, had to leave, said he couldnt match the quality in the band, the bass player is only 19, not seen him yet but a couple of players I know say he's unbelievable. Problem is, they're 4 quality musicians who all have their own ideas, doesn't seem a match made in heaven.
