Listening to some of the crap I used to like in my teens. Nice to hear it for the nostalgia but not really my thing anymore.

Glastonbury this weekend, lots of acts, only 9 of them I'd want to see and probably 3 others for nostalgia.

I think it's a **** festival, do the people who go there really want to see Elton John headline?

I stuck on a Fleetwood Mac gig last night. What a load of ****, I really like Landslide and Dreams so thought I'd have a listen. Terrible stuff.

Been **** since the late 90's, Headliners like EJ make a mockery of its beginnings.

Supported by these. Love the Geezer Butler bass vibe on this.

Glastonbury has changed from its beginnings for sure…..tbh it got to big for the old style…..the hoards of gangs from around Britain converged on it for the selling pills robbing vulnerable people and ransacking tents not a great ending to the vibe it used to have ……tickets came in the music became generic almost pop like and a new middle class type person snapped up the tickets for a experience.

amyway with all its lost soul it’s still got plenty to offer on the smaller stages and it’s still the best place there is for a festival…..I’ve not even bothered looking at the line up for this years either

I’ve only ever paid once for the festival which was the last time I went there in which I took my 7 yr old boy up probably been there 8 plus times.

So yeah cutting a longgggg story short the music was always second place to getting mushed on drugs for 5 days <laugh>

Dipped in and out of watching Glastonbury.

The War On Drugs, are on now, easily the best act I've seen, followed by The Nova Twins.

I love the enthusiasm from the Foo Fighters bloke ****ing nailed their set and should have headlined imo then he's all over the place asking bands if he can jam with them like an excited puppy, the bloke is showing how it should be done. I'm not even a fan and he's blown me away.

Seen them twice in the early days, excellent both times, only watched the first 3 songs earlier, thought it was a bit all over the place, bit shouty too.

Like you Luv, I'm no fan, but I was impressed with his energy, I don't know how old that guy is but it was someone pushing themselves to the limit.

It was shouty throughout but given time they'd have done a superb headline slot imo, went into Sandman an Ozzy song and Sabotage but didn't play them and you get the impression that would have given time. Modern music on a big scales like this is dead imo, GnR were pathetic Arctic Monkeys solid but the new stuff adds nothing so it's just them from a decade ago. Lana diva nonsense although I love the one album. Not seeing anything that blows me away.
