I found it interesting that Thin Lizzy didn't want the above to be released as a single, but the record company did it anyway - as it don't actually sound like any of his other stuff. I find the intro and riffs in it brilliant though and so simple. It's something you play and just don't forget. I just think of the starting notes of it as the reverse notes to bella ciao, so you can start on 13th C or 8th C.

My lad as been dabbling with an electric for a couple of years, not really getting anywhere, very sporadic. A couple of weeks ago he was given a very nice acoustic guitar, it has given him a new lease of life, playing some nice tunes on it and sounding pretty decent too.
I found my electric guitar did enhance my acoustic playing, not sure why, maybe we just appreciate the sound more. As for sporadic, I'm like that all the time, a lot depends on mood.
He's probably been given it at a good time too, January not a month he does much on an evening , but I've been impressed how he's took to it.
