I know the lad mate - he loves that type of dog (I agree totally with you by the way that this type of dog shouldn't be allowed) and I've stroked the dog that has been shot by the police. Harmless - completely harmless when I was around but I was still wary! And, as Indy said, it's not the first time he's had a bit of trouble although never to this extent (obviously!) but one of my digs (it's half poodle half lhasa apso so only a little thing) cowers then panics at fireworks - he bit me once due to the noise of a firework - just a panic thing - I try to take the dogs out on November 5th when it's light then around midnight so the fireworks are finished! <Mine are all small dogs though (Sprock erSpaniel, Lhasa Apso, Westie and a Westie/Yorkie cross) - Not american pitbulls!!

Fair do's fella, apologies. It's just my first instinct these days to worry for the dog, due to this disgusting society and the way scumbags are attracted to these 'status' dogs. Just a worried animal lover with no faith in society.

I heard he has about 16 of them and even lives in bowburn. Amazing how Chinese whispers propagate.

No bother mate - to be honest, if I didn't know the lad I would've thought exactly the same. I'm a big animal lover too but once these type of dog turn they rarely turn back!

They don't get the chance. They're killed dead while the arseholes a free to just get another(even if banned from keeping them). I'm of the opinion these dogs should be under licence, and made very very expensive, as these breeds are associated with the poor. It would mean I'd never be able to afford a Staffie but if it brings the numbers down and keeps the bad owners from getting their hands on them then that's fine by me. I'll get a Beagle instead.
