Hate them or love them, you will not be able to stop a pitch invasion at the Coventry game. So I say lets just enjoy the moment!
 
I imagine it's pretty hard to stop a pitch invasion at Fratton Park when you can't afford stewards, but I suppose it's not a big deal since it's not like they'd fill the pitch anyway. Might as well stick everyone who pitch invades there on the bench to make up the numbers.

Way to completely miss the point. I've nothing against pitch invasions when they're at a sensible time such as after securing promotion or avoiding relegation. A pitch invasion after getting relegated seems ridiculous and if you wanted to convey your support, you could just convey it vocally. Saying that at Farnborough there have been a couple of pitch invasions following losing the play off final. First time I causally walked on the pitch after lots of people were already on. Second time was a small group of fans and the rest were yelling at them to get off the pitch. Though I'd say losing a play off final is less of a disaster than relegation.

I didn't miss the point, I was just taking the piss out of Portsmouth ;) If you look, earlier in the thread I said the relegation pitch invasion was stupid.
 
If anyone gets the chance, try and see the clip of the guy who ran on, dribbled the ball half arsedly (literally!) up the pitch, today at FP. Priceless!
 
I've tried but no joy. It's been on SSN a couple of times. It started with him at about the halfway line, he kicks the ball up the pitch drunkenly then one of the players says something to him, then he's dragged off by the stewards with his bum half hanging out of his strides!
