Ferguson Jr will be rubbing his hands at playing us without Aluko or Elmo and with Jakie Brown pants in goal.
It would be better for us if it was off.

We're just saying what is being reported by our football club, not like its a dodgy source. Obviously it may still be called off but up to now its on.

This is like the Death Row programme on TV last night - just prolonging the inevitable

What bad news this week ? Aluko apart its been a good week overall. Elmo will be back and he was poor last saturday actually. He said so himself. We should still have enough quality to win the game if it goes ahead.
Remember No Emile Sinclair to worry about this time either.

Its what happens tonight and overnight that matters more. Shame the game is not today ? Lol.

Thats early enough to Peterboro. At least if the game is called off then no travelling will have been done. I remember Pompey last season. Got as far as Goole when that game was called off. Tiger Travel buses had got much further actually.

On the Pompey game - we set off at a time when we knew that if the game was off we could turn back from Leicester Forest services. The annoying thing was, we knew it was gonna be postponed but the dilly dallying from Pompey meant that there was a slight chance it might be played.

Reckon the same will happen tomorrow :(

I'd disagree. The game isnt 'on', as was said by you, it has passed it's first pitch inspection. You might argue Im being picky but hey ho.

Hello fellas, Posh fan here just to give you a little bit of a heads up on the game tomorrow.

Personally I think that with the inspection today being passed it will be on tomorrow. Of course another will be done before the majority of you travel tomorrow (like 9.30/10) however with the weather only expected to be down to around -2 tonight I see not problem with it. Add to that the amount of snow we are expecting the snow on top of the pitch covers will provide even more of an insulator to the freezing weather. For me the pitch will be 100% playable.

Should the game be called off it will be down to the surrounding areas and will be down to the police to call the game off. At this moment in time it is not too bad, not to cold either so fingers crossed for the game being on.

I will get on my bunker before I press send.
Why don't matches in winter kick off earlier.

I can foresee matches being abandoned mid way through the second half as conditions worsen.

Also how one Huddersfield match is early due to police but series match later because if sky?
    Which match gad most trouble.

Are sky more influential than the police?

I need my football fix too we I hope the game's on. I understand the argument that we'd be better off playing it with Elmo back but we really don't want postponements which have to be played in midweek. We'll suffer fatigue (and propbably get new injuries) and have a crap few weeks like last March. I know some people don't like the fatigue theory but it's based on science and if SB believes it I'm with him.

I've heard on Twitter that the pitch is being inspected tomorrow at 10am-10:30am. Let's hope it's playable. Anyone have any idea how many we'll be taking tomorrow? I remember that last season we seemed to take a fair amount.

    Latest from Posh web-site

The club is calling for supporters to assist with the removal of snow on Saturday.

Peterborough United is calling for supporters to assist with the removal of snow from 9am on Saturday.

Heavy snowfall is expected into the night and assistance would be welcomed to give Saturday's fixture with Hull City the best possible chance of going ahead.

Volunteers are asked to bring a plastic snow shovel and/or a wheel barrow and please confirm attendance by emailing [email protected]. Only over 18s can assist.

I live in P'boro & we have had some snow today

.... but not enough to cause much disruption on the road

.... not snowing at the moment

Well done to peterboro for doing everything possible to get the match on. Heaven knows why the state of the surrounding roads is even a factor. Will the police close the town centre if the roads are a bit icy? Not forgetting it is January, what underfoot conditions do they expect? Tropical swamps? Quicksand?
If the elf n safety mob get a say the match will be off but everything else in the region will take place as usual. Tell them to **** right off!
