Ah I see, we can't say/comment on anything about the pre-season games. Did nothing happen in those games to comment on? must have been very boring for the spectators. So when can anyone object/comment on a performance/s? Is post fulham allowed, half time? Christmas? Can we comment on how good we are if we beat Fulham? or is that too soon? If we lose to Fulham do we have to wait another 3 or 4 games before judging the Fulham game. If we don't score any goals and don't concede any, are we allowed to relate this information to the pre-season matches (which we've established don't count and can't be commented on) where that appears to be the path we are taking. This all seems very complicated, I just wish I could make up my own mind.
I'd never deny anyone an opinion, especially a Norwich fan. I just wish we could be sensible about this. On saturday we should be wanting every player not to play how we pre-judge them to perform but to shine like we know they can. What happened with Morison last year was totally and utterly disgraceful, and it will happen again. It depresses me that people have the snipes pre-made up. What if Holt can't find the net for the first few games, surely the "he's resting on his nice new contract" card gets played. It's not very difficult to see the pre-concieved opinions people will form, it's depressing, isn't it?
Beef, when you say the Morison thing utterly disgraceful. Is that criticizing him on a forum? or at a game? Because I agree it's a disgrace at a game. And will support all Norwich players on the pitch. I am not going to go into the Morison debate because it has been debated enough really but I just don't understand how not thinking a player is good enough is disgraceful.
I should have been more clear on that, I apologise. Having a go at Morisons play, and anything associated with that, is your right as a Human being as well as a Norwich fan. No issue with it at all. The disgraceful part was when a goalscoring blip lead to certain sections of the crowd circulating vicious rumours and bringing his family into it. What these people seeked to gain, only they can tell you, maybe the wanted to appear well informed in front of their "mates", maybe it was a reaction to the fact Morison was doing better than Holt at the start of last season. Who knows. What I do know is that is spread like cancer through the fanbase last year and it was truly sad to see. I'd hate to see it again.
I don't know anything about that, Beefy, but I can guess. People like that are vermin, and I wouldn't even wish them on our neighbours...
