Except, nothing is currently happening to the Lord Line building itself (it's protected anyway I believe?). They're demolishing the buildings around it's periphery.
The Lord Line is not a listed building, it's on the Local List, which means the Council will apply more restrictions to any planning application than they would an unlisted building and it's difficult to get a locally listed building demolished, but it doesn't offer anywhere near the protection that a full listing offers. The buildings around the Lord Line have now gone, the demolition was completed last week and they're just removing the rubble now. The biggest issue for the Lord Line (forgetting the fact that Manor developments seem to take forever), is that it's owner Manor don't own the rest of the site, the other two sides of the dock are owned by someone else.

I seem to remember reading that the owner of Swanbridge Vet practice in Swanland owns quite a bit round there.
He is indeed the owner of the East and North sides of the dock, he's also got a reputation no better than Akrill's.
Nothing in the short term, the fact that three different parties own different parts of the site, make it a really difficult site to develop.
Due to the complexities of the ownership of the land I would guess many of the proposed plans may be Brown Bread.
