With all the "why is Puel starting him" and "why isn't so and so playing" I want to ask you all, who would you start and in what formation.

The advantage you all have is that every one of the current squad are fully fit.

The only one I would have doubts about is Evans. Morgan has been good at times but is slow and tends to resort to fouling to make up for his lack of pace. Soyuncu, from what little I have seen looks to be very naive and is a penalty waiting to happen.

I think Schmeichel, Ricardo, Maguire, Chilwell, Ndidi, Maddison and Vardy will be in everyone and possibly Albrighton

 

Genuinely think James is an excellent CM. Controls games fantastically if you play him next to someone with a bit more class on the ball

 

I know he won’t change formation but if it was me, not including Benkovic and Barnes as they are on loan Id have

With Soyuncu and Benkovic it leaves plenty of numbers for the back 3 and Barnes could be there instead of Gray

 

Too injury prone, too slow and not mobile enough, lacks creativity. If King isnt good enough then neither is James.

Both King and James has been great servants but Mendy is much better then both

 

I don’t think King is good enough but James isn’t a sentiment thing, I just think that, whilst he lacks quality on the ball, he is one of the most controlling CMs we’ve ever had. Outstanding positionally, one of the best in the league which makes up for his lack of quality.

But I accept I could be completely wrong and just going mad.

 

Instead of Mendy/anyone that can walk without injuring themselves? Yes.

 

Maybe 3 years ago, now the lad probably should quit the game as his body can't handle it.
