Ernie Merrick
Wellington Phoenix FC, Manager
got the phoenix playing well

be a damn sight less than 2 million a year as well

As I've said before, no contracted manager doing well in the Championship or anywhere else would touch us with a barge-pole, whoever we get will be unemployed and there aren't too many 'stars' available at present.

Sherwood has and excellent win ratio but remember he was merely stepping into an excellent squad at Spurs and Pochettino appears to have vastly improved them since.

I'd give Sherwood a go to the end of the season but he'll probably want a two and a half year contract. he can call the shots because we are desperate and in desperation you tend to get shafted. All sounds pretty familiar doesn't it?...

I would like Tony to have a look at this before he makes a rash decision to bring in Sherwood based on social media opinions, and make a few phone calls and talk to some of these others.

For someone who is out of work it seems to me that the boot should be on the other foot with us telling Tim what we want and not the other way around.
I would ask Warnock if he would do the job until the end of the season. He would be passionate and is guy who knows the club. Not a long term appointment, but at least it would give us breathing space to be able to select the right man. We could even start interviewing people as Tony had previously suggested.
