I feel sick, but in our position it would be ridiculous not to take Michael Owen wouldn't it ? The shame of taking this little sh1te back is enough to make me want to violently puke all over my self but christ, I didn't put us in this position ! Sign the little jock strap up until January.
It would have to be Owen as a stop gap surely. The question is do we panic and look for strikers now or try and puddle through till Jan and either recall AC, or get the owners to splash some cash. Don't want to go off thread but am a bit concerned about funds, can't quite get my head around not being able to let the manager spend £6-7 million on someone he thinks can do a job, or making it contingent on off loading the wages of another striker first. It's not so much I dislike Owen as dislike his mercenary attitude and the way he has gone about things in the past, but that's football only have to look at Anelka to see how it works, he made a career out of it. Bigger question for me is can he still do a job so all vitriol aside I'll leave it to you guys to discuss what is left of his football abilities and would he fit in? Really wouldn't want to be the club that gives him his swan song, and he is so injury prone no contract longer than the absolute minimum. Brendans body language didn't look good in his interview before, mind you mine hasn't looked to good since the Arse scored their second either, seemed very complaisant, just wondering how I would feel after working my socks off to make things happen, in the full glare of the media, and not being able to buy a striker I want, so maybe someone, anyone, who can stick it in the net is needed to relieve some pressure.
So here we are discussing Owen or Heskey Never Owen in a Red shirt again in a million years. As Noble said...I'd rather go down...thanks a ****ing bunch FSG you tight fisted ****s
