For all my thoughts on how we should not have got Bale back, it makes no sense not to play him imho.
Lo Celso has also done very little, as has Ndombele.
I also thought we should sell Dele but instead of loaning him out (saving on his wages and possibly either driving up his sale price ... see Lingard... or helping him rediscover his form ... see Lingard) we have left him to rot.

The fact that both Ndombele and Lo Celso get roped into trying to make it look like we have a midfield in the second half of games, and in some cases Lo Celso playing as an ersatz DM, is what's making them look bad
Drop a fit Wanyama, Sando or Parker next to them and their game would improve immediately - not least because they'd be playing 15-20 yards further up the pitch
