German journalist and editor spills the beans on the media and intelligence links in Europe. Won't see this on BBC obviously

Someone on TV gave a statistic out yesterday. They said if Paris experience another attack they'll have 26,000 police officers, army officials etc on hand to deal with it. London have six police officers! SIX! There was more than that dealing with a nearby innocent on Sunday night (attempted murder apparently <yikes>)

I Would be very surprised if there were only 6 police officers in London.

That was my reply when told. I think the actual comparison in numbers would be damning enough without the need for exaggeration. There is no way we'd summoned 26,000 in a emergency imo. I think we called the majority of officers from all over England when the riots were happening and we mustered about 10,000 <laugh>

I want one! <laugh>

How the **** much did that cost, more than his house!

Yep, I'd love one. Its actually an idea I've had for ages for when I move. Not quite as "underground" as that but near where I live, a lot of houses are built on hills so the gardens are very slanted. I'd obviously want to level sections off so I want to dig into the hill, put a brick building in its place with decking on the roof [HASHTAG]#mancave[/HASHTAG]

Me too, about 8 years ago I considered buying a white trash trailer and modifying it and putting it into the ground rather than build an actual bunker
Wanted to grow some "plants" and have one or two aquariums, console TV sounds in it laid out in mancave style. Was quoted 35k for the whole job, 2 bedroom mobile home, small kitched and bathroom and separate shower

Then 2008 happened just before we bought a house.. and that was that with the man cave :(

You can buy a shipping container, they are not that expensive and you can turn them into a small house. You can get one for less than £2k

Then just modify the **** out of it literally any way you wish.

40' Shipping Cargo Container
  • EUR 1,858.15
Two of those side by side is enough room for a small man palace :D

People build some quite nice houses out of them.
