I quite like the idea of an android phone but I'm not convinced that I would like a touch screen.

I'm looking to spend around £30 a month.

Wildfire S. £20 a month. Vodaphone. Carphone Warehouse.

I have an HTC Desire HD, very good.

**** iPhones, Android will be the dominant force going forward and offers a far more varied opportunity, ie not tied into Apple Store purchases.

You can also transfer iTunes files on to it as well so that you can play your tunes...if you want to that is...
