He can apply but he'd never get it! The toon don't like Brucie because of his Sunderland connection. And he's from Wallsend. Therefore they'd be unlikely to take tan man to their hearts.

I'd take a punt on the main reason they won't hire him is the fact his most recent job was Southend and Newcastle are now technically the richest club in the world. What a sight it would be though...... Brownie bollocking mbappe and co on the pitch at half time!

Missing the point as usual. Bruce wasn't acceptable to Newcastle fans has he had managed Sunderland, even though he is from the Newcastle area. Brown being a Sunderland supporter is even worse in their eyes.
 
I didn’t even realise brownie was Southend manager, I thought he was managing in India still‍♂️
