Not a Reid fan to be honest.. I believe he buggered this club with his ridiculous and probably corrupt transfer policy in his last couple of seasons with us..

I'm up for Reidy coming on board.....again just what we need to lift the club. They will certainly introduce a 'fighting' spirit.....don't think they will allow any player going through the motions. When was the last time we had a strong number one and two.....Stokoe and Cox?

I can't tell whether this is serious or a joke as not too many stray away from the Reidy the legend line.

What he achieved at the club was unbelievable but I'm inclined to agree with regards to his recruitment in the last couple of years. Left us absolutely knackered.

I think he's a dinosaur and should be left to extinction.

`No joke at all mate..I believe he stitched us up good and proper in the last couple of years. He paid over the odds for utter dross and all involving the same agent.

God forbid:emoticon-0145-shake I personally wish that we stop looking at managers with credentials from years past and whose age is over 58. The last club Reidy managed, in England, was Plymouth in 2010 and he was sacked after a year. Allerdyce, although 59, has at least recently managed in the premiership and I like the idea of Phil Brown in as his assistant. Could we then possibly have a year or two of stability a cup run or two and well out of any relegation fights? Then again that might be boring!

Then we're of the same mind mate. He did well but was ultimately out for himself.

Thought I read somewhere that Reidy did not take s wage at Plymouth and paid for lots of things from his own pocket. Wouldn't want him back as he's been out of top football too long, not sure about Phil Brown either, some of his antics whilst he was at Hull worry me, I know he is a fan of ours but is that enough, whoever Sam brings in Will get my support we have to trust our manager as does Ellis Short and give him the tools to do a proper job.

Brown as a number 2 would give us incredible experience, and he's a massive Sunderland fan.

    I'm for.

I would be happy with Reid or Brown, both love the club, both massively experienced and both would light a rocket under a few arses.

No complaints here FTM onwards and upwards.

As I understand it, the vacancy is for a first team coach

Would he go for MacDonald who is currently working for those idiots at Blackpool?

Or Sammy Lee who is supposed to be a great coach. I think he was involved with the England set up under Sven

I think we will find out really soon

Its wait and see time, lets just ignore all these rumours and press speculation and see what happens, it is going to be an interesting few weeks. I cant wait to see what Big Sam does as much as the rest of us, his first team selections and inevitable adjustments will set the tone, if he gets the defence tightened up without restricting our front three he will have cracked it.

Apparently he's talking to two options for his assistant so sounds like we will have to wait a bit longer..

Hope it's not Reidy. Had some great times under him, but we should never go back. Lets not forget some of his gaffs... buying Tore Andre Flop and spunking all our budget on him, telling Helmer to **** off or not train with a ball or something, turning down Ibramovich, and turning down a couple of others because he thought were ****e and went on to be class.
