I'd just like to thank Neville in public for curing my ailment that a few Doctors couldn't do. I'm pleased to announce I no longer suffer with insomnia.....thanks Phil
Even South Warwickshire police are having a go ... http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...hil-neville-slated-twitter-commentary-7270242 Can we look forward to the world famous hypnotist performing again on Thursday for the England v Uruguay game? I can't wait! I don't know why we're all laughing it's joe public paying him out of our licence fee.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...uld-be-dropped-from-BBCs-commentary-team.html All the noise about his delivery, almost nothing about the validity/relevance of his words. Oh well, I suppose some people just prefer the excitable adolescent Motsonesque or Green-style shrieking.
His voice was very monotone. So much so that I turned the sound down for most of the 2nd half. As for the validity of his words he spent the first half hour just repeating exactly what the first commentator was saying.
I found him a pleasant change from the cockney turds who tv assumes we all like and respect. Has anyone tried coaching Alan Shearer and 'Rio' Ferdinand to use 'those' instead of them? Or is just one them things with which we have to put up?
Ah well I spend very little time listening to what the pundits say in the studio. Should just have one commentator for the game. That's all that's needed. The numpties in the studio I see no need for really.
Ferdinand: The Arentina fans here are sing song. Great stuff Rio. I'd love to see how much these ****s are getting paid for this
I was going to write a private message to you until I read your first bit, but I don't know how to do it and I was a manager for 28 years.
Ex managers over ex pros would be a great idea. People who can actually see what a manager is seeing with his picks or what they would have done differently would be a great insight into the game. Would also be interesting to see what team Sir Alex or Wenger would have put out against Italy and compare it.
I can't believe they didn't test him out beforehand... It's like asking Jamie Oliver's sister to cook a banquet for the Queen. Just because her brother can cook it doesn't mean she can
I find the most interesting to be people who study the game scientifically. Neville is fantastic at this as he deosn't just show the replay and describe it, he tells us why something is happening and how it could be fixed. AVB and Mourinho are two managers who I think would offer an interesting perspective from this angle.
