I began just slightly to fear
That I had jumped the gun,
But good to see these latest two
Recruits are safely in,
Look forward now to get a view
Of them as work begins,
Turner standing six-foot-four
Should be a tower of strength,
Preventing those who want to score
By spreading his full length,
And useful too at t´other end
If corners come his way,
With heading prowess he could send
The net bulging, I´d say,
Snodgrass we know all too well
Can turn in one quick blink,
And produce in a golden spell
Magic to make you think,
Along with Howson, Hoolahan
And Fox, and Bennett E,
And Pilkington and that young man
Butterfield we could see,
Some midfield play of stunning class
When they get into gear,
And find that defence-splitting pass
That we all so love here,
So things are building nicely now
With still three weeks or so,
To go, so Hughton, take a bow
