Two wrongs don't make a right, not saying for one minute that other Clubs have behaved with dignity under fire, but that is hardly a defence for your Club to do the same. When I was a kid, LFC were a Club to be admired, Bob Paisley won with a smile on his face not a scowl, the transfer policy benefitted LFC and looked after the smaller Clubs they did fair deals with, not raided via the back door. Manchester United have also won, but couldn't manage to do so with good grace. I thought Liverpool were better than this. Time to show that it wasn't just Paisley who deserved such admiration.
So should Fergie have offloaded Cantona, after he kung foo ficked a fan in the head. Why is not shakin someones hand a DISGRACE, but when you kung foo kick someone in head, you get to play for the club again, you know the club which apparently has really high moral values?????????
You havnt asked my question So should Fergie have offloaded Cantona, after he kung foo ficked a fan in the head. Why is not shakin someones hand a DISGRACE, but when you kung foo kick someone in head, you get to play for the club again, you know the club which apparently has really high moral values?????????
I have answered your question, two wrongs dont make a right. Cantona was wrong to do what he did, United are in no position to tell anyone else how to behave. Hope that's clear enough for you. Back to the thread, Gordon Taylor was right, and your Owners, by virtue of their recent statement, agree. It is such a shame that they felt so moved to comment so forcefully on the errant handshake, but passed on racism. They should have reacted to the initial incident this way, and Kenny Dalglish should have backed what LFC stands for, and not the ego of one of your players.
As usual you have your facts wrong. There are statements from Ian Ayre and Kenny on behalf of LFC. There is also a statement from Suarez. There is NO statement by or on behalf of FSG - who just happen to be our owners.
I assume you are thinking Ian Ayre. He is not our owners, his job is to deal with the media, tv coverage, sponsorship, image rights and things like that.
So come on Schofield you font of all knowledge. When we prove to you that your statement was factually wrong you still contend (albeit sarcastically) that it was right - now explain!
Its all bollox, just keeping the media thing going, Luis knows paddy told some wellies and is still pissed about it, but logically it would have been a good idea to just get on with it and not give the media what they wanted, but he did. Evra and the way he rected at the end is just the sort of thing you'd expect from a slimy dishonest fk.
Evra reacted like he did because Suarez did not shake his hand, if you cannot grasp this I'm surprised your brain has the acumen to make you breathe. A blind man on a galloping horse can see the owners have stepped in and told Ayre, Suarez and Dalglish to issue their statements in order to draw a line under this whole sorry episode. It appears some Liverpool fans want to continue to look like chumps, splitting hairs and generally being deluded, carry on its all very entertaining, like watching a worm trying to wriggle of a hook.(a worm with a curly wig and hands going "eh, eh, eh"). Time to move on, please, me sides are aching - how can someone so wrong think their right, incredible, you need help, you really do................
