Bollocks was that a red...ref has been all over the shop! Glad were through but a bit worried about our defending second half. Still I think the players who are likely to play against West Brom looked a lot more relaxed than guys like Donelley, so hopefully they're not going to be tired at the weekend. Tremmel was decent and didn't deserve to concede two goals. Davies and Amat were poor but Chico and Rangel were alright. Britton didn't have the best game his career regardless of the sending off, and de Guzman wasn't fantastic, but Pablo and Pozuelo both looked good. Michu was reliable as usual even if he was clearly looking forward to the WBA game and just playing as a man to play the ball off. Don had a good debut and I'm hoping we see him in the league some time, not a bad debut and unlucky not to score. Lamah was decent but overplayed a bit at times, Ki looked great and should've got an assist for his good play building up to Don's disallowed goal, and Canas put a shift in. I think the cards only apply to Europa league games. So I think he misses the first group game for two yellow cards.
Only caught the last 20 mins but yet again I witnessed really crap defending for both goals ! it also looked like it was perfectly fine for their players to assault poz but if we did anything remotely wrong it was a yellow card!! What a ****ing joke, im glad we are through to the group stages and also glad we were able to rest a lot of players for this match, job done without going too gung ho though looking at the bookings you would have thought that the Swans were playing like vinny joneses Wimbledon !

My reading of Rule 22.04 of UEFA Europa rules state yellow cards do not carry from the play offs to the next round. A red card will. This is an exceptional ruling for the play off stages only
Why was Donnelly's goal disallowed - I couldn't see anything wrong with it ???? When is the draw for the group stages ?
Job done and we're into the group stages which (a) for our Club is a fantastic achievment (b) raises the profile of the Club to a new level (c) may trigger a big signing in the next four days. We didn't play passing football tonight because that pitch was ****e. We need to improve our finishing when we break quickly. Disappointed with the red card - but our players will have learnt a hell of a lot tonight
That was a very inept performance from us. If the Romanians had been a bit sharper in front of goal the result could have been too close for comfort. Far too many slack passes, clever flicks which never came off, turning into opponents, poor control and bad discipline. I suppose we're through and that's what counts, but extremely frustrating.
And we will have learned a lot about our players. We got through it OK. Hopefully no knocks. Donnelly looked mobile and useful, but has a way to go. Liked the look of Ki when he came on. Would really like to see him on Saturday.
GREAT NEWS THAT YELLOWS DO NOT CARRY THROUGH THE PLAYOFFS Hopefully the crash course in European reffing standards will stand the lads in good stead
