I was once told by a boss that my views would make Lenin right wing, it was the first time I could not argue with him.

In work I was known as Dai the red.

When the revolution comes I'll be in the front row with Aber.

attacks on benefit claimers/foreigners/other workers is classic divide and conquer tactics from the ruling class. it makes NO economic sense in a capitalist system for the government to strive for full employment. Have no one unemployed and suddenly workers can start asking for living wages, proper health and safety etc. It is cheaper for the government/big business to pay out measly sums of 60 odd quid a week to the unemployed and therefore keep wages down though under cutting etc. this system also creates friction between competing workers. ergo = divide tactics.

Anyone read any good left wing literature e.g ragged trousered philanthopists or grapes of wrath?

Hey Aber, long time no speak dude. I see you still enjoy the green!

Wales' problem is, i'm sorry to say, England or more specifically, London. Wales has been over taken by many small independent nations in Europe economically and this is down to being squeezed by the monolithic 'city.' Thatcher decided that we would be much better off with all our eggs in the financial services basket, this leaves the economy very vulnerable, banks to tits up, so do we. therefore since the 80's the government is enslaved by big business as without them we would literally have nothing. IMO re-nationalization is needed so when you do borrow money, you are borrowing it against something.

my personal view is that there is something seriously wrong with a system where having money, makes money. it contributes nothing to GDP, does not make anything, has no skill, just sits in a bank account accumulating. having money actually takes away from the economy, not adding to it.

Beleive it or not lads when we said back in 84/85 that closing all our pits would end up with the british people paying through the nose for their fuel needs we were not scaremongering, the price of oil,gas and ultimately petrol and electricity have year on year gone through the roof since the mid nineties.

The NUM and Sir Arthur Scargill were right then and i think history has vindicated them without a doubt.

And who are the biggest gainers out of this, yes those true blue Tory bas**rds who are some of the biggest shareholders in these foreign energy and fuel companies, they have made millions and we are paying the price.
