As do a few other teams but their results over the last few weeks is a worry for them and anybody relying on them. Hopefully they will get back to the form of earlier in the season. However, if we win our games then it won't matter what they do.
Decent point away from home. After watching today I still think we'll be top two. It's a familiar pattern tbh. Whinge incessantly, put Sunderland down, call the board a cult, insult folk while claiming never to do so, etc. About the only thing that changes is the user name every now and again.
He is a bit lightweight at the best of times but I have seen them given. Just not to to us generally.
What pisses me off is when players stop and turn to the referee demanding a foul. If it's a foul, the ref will blow, Play to the bloody whistle man Hopefully today sparks the end of McFadzean in a Sunderland shirt
Yeah, play to whistle. The ref will tell you if its a foul. Probably wouldn't have made any difference today though as he was already on his arse and the ball was away.
Today ... ... Peterborough dropped two points at home, Gillingham lost, Doncaster lost, Oxford lost and Ipswich only drew at Rochdale. Just saying.
MacF is constantly in the wrong place at the wrong time, as for the goal I wonder where Power was, as he is another who goes awol in the wide defensive role, and is a far better in the central mid field position, he should play there from the start imo and Leadbitter should only be used as a replacement. The two of them on the pitch together rarely if ever works.
The general view from Portsmouth fans all over twitter is they will sneak second place ahead of us and Posh.
Power was marking somebody , Jones was the one who did not track back with their midfield runner... of course Macfazdean messed up too
They're a bunch of scruffy coke headed knackers who reckon they're going up every season ... ... and always wrong. Or perhaps I'm wrong and should be scouring Twitter for Portsmouth supporters opinions after our game.
I cannot see a case for Stewart before Wyke. But I can see a case for AOB in for Stewart. Wyke is much better when AOB is running around bothering defenders, and Wyke is also by a mile our top scorer, he just hasn't scored in the last few. No player scores every game. Not many can play in all the games, so we'll have to mix and match a bit. TBH, I think Stewart is still adjusting to the game down here, and looked today as if the game was going on around him a bit.
I can forgive Power for his positional naivety because he's not a full back. I have no idea why CMc wasn't starting today. McFadzean is an atrocious player and is atypical of the Parkinson/Donald reign
Blackpool are like a lot of teams in this league in that they are putting a run together that is above their usual levels. They, like Accrington, Doncaster and Lincoln will fall away. I'm not overly concerned about Blackpool especially as their best player belongs to us and can't play against us
O'Brien definitely gets the best out of Wyke at the moment. Long term, I think Stewart will be a very good signing. As you say, he is just settling in and his first start away from home on a tatty field. Good options to have.
I am a bit worried about Blackpool. If Lee Johnson had of coached us from the start of the season though we could of turned a lot of those draws into wins and would be walking this league now.
