    Oh, the relief...

    Up to 13th.

Millwall won at Wolves - should be a classic game on Saturday.

L'Equipe Massive (hommage a J. Barton) slaughtered 4-1 by Inter Watford.

Could be the end for Dave Jones. After he turned around Megson's garbage, looks like they want the hoofball back.

    Oh well, their problem.

Sounded like we were about to go behind when my PC crashed. By the time I'd got it going again, we were 2-0 up and cruising. Hmmm. First off, sorry Poshminx 'cos it sounds as if you got a rough deal on the result, having said which, the impression is that Boyd gets into scoring positions whenever he feels like it, but could'nt bury a dead budgie. For us, four wins out of five, the wounded return to the ranks and we get three points from a game that we could have lost. If you can win when you're on the back foot, the future's bright. I'mvery happy tonight, and hopefully the team spirit is back, which we'll need on our trip to the Den this weekend.

We've played better, but lost. That's what in taking from tonight. It wasn't pretty for the large part- I was unconvinced by the fuller/kermo partnership. They did things well individually, but not really together.

I overheard after the game that Morro might be out, and think tewkes mentions it above- so I assume this to be true? Oh dear. Honestly, he will be the bigger loss than any other player. Don't think fuller will make it either by the way he limped off. It wasn't a dead leg or cramp- seemed to pull something. To be fair, it was an absolute rocket of a shot and a joy to behold. You don't see many goals of that quality at the valley.

First half we played it more on the deck and looked dangerous. Second half we started to hoof it more- both in possession and when clearing our lines. CP must have been the most frustrated man in the stadium before the goal.

Sorry for a vague report- just got in and need some grub before bed. Important win, not the greatest of performances. But that's football!

The game was dull but fullers goal wow.
Frimpong quality again as was Solly Hammer made a couple of decent saves handling good great to see Yan back the rest huff n puff not much else but who cares 3 points.
Ferguson said after the better footballing team lost... Erm wasn't hard neither team was barcelonaesque.
Peterborough seemed to get in good positions then kick it off or lose possession.
4 wins out of 5 we are flying bring on the Wall !

On my way back from a game we were lucky to get three points from, but had the difference in class up front. First goal was always going to be decisive and posh gave us a second by taking off a centre back in pursuit of an equaliser.
    Match ratings:
Hamer 8-Some very good stops including one tipped over at the end od the first and a good low one in the second. A bit of a flap in the first. Great positioning throughout.
Solly 8 - They had little joy getting past him and he tried to get down the wing when he could.
Cort 6- lacked composure at times with poor passes and gave his forward too much space on the ground.
Morrison 9 -MoM...He was everywhere at the back. For 15 minutes in 2nd half he played them by himself. Would be a 10 but booked and out of Millwall...big miss.
Seaborne 7 -solid but nothing to get excited about.
Pritchard 6 - Part of am anonymous midfield at times, but tried harder than most. Still not convinced he's a winger
Frimpong 6- Moments of quality, but very lazy at times and made no attempts to make up for his errors.
Jackson 5 - Shocking performance, totally out of the game for most of it and missed a sitter.Should have been off for Stephens at half time.
Kerkar 6.5- arguably the best of a midfield outplayed by the worst side in the division.
Kermit 7 -Not quite there in terms of fitness, great effort after 2 mins, won most in the air and got a goal.
Fuller 8 - What. A. Shot. Caused usual problems with his runs, but didn't quite click with Kermit. Hope injury isn't too bad.

Green - looked a threat and created 2nd goal
Hulse - the best in the team at holding up the ball and running down the clock.
Jonsson - 2 very good tackles in his cameo.

Powell - got it right in the end, but ridiculous that we had to wait so long for such obvious substitution.

Just back. We got lucky. Outplayed for the most part by a poor Posh side. Could have been 6-5 with all the chances but in the end we scored a screamer that could easily have ended in row Z. We were never going to score otherwise. Midfield was awful. Frimpong not up to Saturdays standard but must have been scratching his head at the garbage around him. No pace and no movement. Game was crying out for Stephens andGreen to inject some class and some pace Hamer MOM closely followed by Solly. Cort an Morro did well despite being left exposed by the midfield. Not sure about seaborne. Likes going backwards. Pritch bless him had one of his fish out of water nights (admittedly a rarity of late), Jacko anonymous, Kerkar good first half, anonymous second. Kermit not fit and not sure partnership with Fuller works. fuller did nothing until that goal which was worth the admission alone. Hulse did well despite my poor opinion of him. Fair play. Green lucky not to be booked for persistent fouling but did look dangerous. All in all a very bitty performance that posed more questions than answers. Crap ref again. Good result though. Posh can feel hard done by. Can understand why they are relegation fodder though.

Actually I think you're right Mike. He was. Ref took his time delivering the lecture but now that you mention it I think the card eventually appeared.

Is it just me, or do others find it incredibly hard to get out if bed after a week night game?

    Oh, COYR

Is Morro banned for Saturday's game? He and Solly gave excellent performances last night and we can't do without Morro for this game. Please let him not be banned.

Another question- Until Danny Green came on, was this a team entirely made up of freebies?

Hamer and Morro were surplus to requirements at their clubs and Pritchard was non-league, so the fees would be pretty small I'd imagine.

Just seen the goals on tv. Fuller's an absolute belter but of the "sod it no other options lets hit it" variety and Kermit was offside. Reinforces the view that we got lucky but hey, am I bovvered?

If I remember Hamer was around £250k, Morro £150k and Pritchard was nominal. But this is without researching so may be wrong.

We got lucky, but have been unlucky at other stages (BWP at home to Palace springs to mind).
