Agree totally. But so have ours. Difference is that our defence is our strongest position despite having multiple injuries.
I reckon Sunderland could play an entirely different starting 11 and still have a good chance of beating Charlton. Matthews McLaughlin Wright Younger Hume Scowen Diamond Neil O'Brien Stewart Gooch (PS, we've been in the hot tub all afternoon so these posts may be skewed. )
"Manager Darren Ferguson said: “It is a big blow, the boy has been very consistent over the last two seasons." Excuses excuses excuses .....what next, the groundsman put too much water on the pitch This is the difference between a proper club, like Sunderland, and a sad bunch of swampland wanabees like Peterborough. No offense lads but, tbh, you're a shyte little bunch of nobodies.
If this 'emergency keeper' situation is swallowed we may as well have me on the bench and pay me £20 a match. If Burge is injured Sunderland can just say 'Smug couldn't catch Covid in Brazil,' and sign Darlow as an illegal replacement keeper. FO Posh, yer shyte.
They're signing Josef Bursik from Stoke. He's annoyingly very highly rated. Was very good for Doncaster in the first half of season before being recalled by Stoke. Got to assume that what they're doing is allowed so there's no point moaning about it
I remember my mate used to rave about him when he played for Millwall. Im not sure why he ended up dropping down a league based from Monday. Peterborough have a team with about 4 top quality players, surrounded by average players. Id be more than happy if we took any of the 4 quality players off them to play in the Championship with us.
I guess the lesson in future with squad limits etc is only have one keeper. As soon as he's injured get a new one in.
They cannot be signing him surely. He has already played for two clubs this season. Stoke and Doncaster. Mind you the whole deal stinks. The rules clearly state they cannot have an emergency loan keeper so whats another rule break on top
Edit it was changed due to Covid https://resources.fifa.com/image/up...rs-june-2019.pdf?cloudid=ao68trzk4bbaezlipx9u What a joke. They have replaced their keeper with a better one ffs
Exactly thats the punishment for not having a big enough squad. Its totally shocking that theyve ended up gaining from this.
It basically sends out the message there is no point whatsoever signing a permanent number two goalkeeper. If ya first choice one does ever get injured just use an emergency loan to cover him
