I'm in the pro-PT camp. I reckon he's done a great job. I think the 16th to 17th thing is a bit of a furphy. PT got some pretty consistent results over 2/3 of the season. I liked MA, but we were rock solid bottom 4 until 2 wins (1 a bit fortuitous against 10 men) took us a point or 2 outside the bottom 4. Under PT, we were realistically quite safe a month before the end of the season. I don't think that was going to happen under MA. But I think I'm mainly glad that the decision has been made early enough that we can have a full off-season to sort out contracts, in & outs, friendlies and have a full pre-season. Here's to a decent 2014/15 and hopefully spending it in mid-table or higher rather than mid-table or lower.
