    Saw Jerry Sadowizc at the Red Rose club in Islington, about 30 years ago. Funniest Jock Yosser I've ever heard...

    In Mussie speak but missing anything due to bomb construction does not denote "expert" in the civilised world.

    <sigh>

    You think he's gonna come back and sit with those carrying around the instrument of his destruction or those talking about virgins?

    Still there, and still a theatre upstairs. A lot of the pubs in Upper Street are gone since the Royal Mail sorting office shut down. Old Parr's head has gone, The Mitre's gone, The Royal Mail, The Florence, half the pubs on Essex Road. You could do a double espresso or chai latte crawl round N1 nowadays, but you'd be ****ed for a pub crawl.

    Colonisation by hipster rich-kids <ok>.

    Still craft beers available from gastro-pubs, at £8.50 a bottle, to wash down the hand crafted Peruvian goat burger and cornmeal nachos.

    I had to book a breakfast reservation at a trendy cafe where they served Frosties out of a rinsed out Cuprinol can for £7.99 Plus service charge .
    You pay for the ambiance.

    Coffee shop on the way to work wanted £3.40 for a filter coffee, not even a Venti mochachocalatte with caramel swirls and cream. No, this was a small cup of coffee out of the jug for £3.40. The place was doing a roaring trade (or roasting trade if you prefer) so obviously enough twats are happy to shell out that sort of cash.

    It was 99p in the Pret just down the road but Pret didn't have a bloke with a man-bun and skinny jeans with his knuckles tattooed serving drinks. Oh, and everything was displayed on wooden boards and lumps of slate which instantly doubles the price of everything.

    Hipsters, pah.

    I'm fast turning into this

    Should have done a runner - let some other **** pay for the "ambience".

    I bought two cappucinos in Shoreditch Grind on Old Street roundabout. ****ing good coffee tbf, but I nearly choked on the price. And tiny little cups, none of these huge flower vases they serve the coffee in in Costas.

    Lidl doing coffee now for €1,.39c for a croissant but unfortunately they don't open till 8.If you go into Lidl first thing in the morning you will notice people buying all the pastries,buns,croissants etc for buttons and then selling them in their own cafes for 4 or 5 times the price they paid maybe even more.

    West London got taken over by white rastas on extended gap years, and hippy birds called Jemima, 30 years ago iirc. It's taken Norflunden a while to catch up.
