I would still have Crouch in the England squad - his height alone terrorises defenders, though I think he is a better striker of a ball than a headerer (possibly a made-up word).

Somewhere around £3m would be an excellent buy for a 3rd/4th choice striker.

It's really obvious you don't. What possible value would he add to our team? He would be a major step backwards, and would be a total waste of money, even if it was just wages.

I've said for years that Peter Crouch is a bag of ****.

    He's a wobbly donkey.

But he's one of these players who if he gets a little run of form against some really **** teams (ie, scoring goals for England against teams like Jamaica, and Macedonia) people start to believe that he's actually something special. In fact, I have witnessed people becoming quite militant in their pro-Crouch stance.

    Beats me.

    He's crap. Overrated. Overpaid. Overpriced.

I may have hidden it, but that's my views on the over rated lanky piece of ****e too.

I think the problem is by the time his eyes have seen the ball, and his brain has processed what needs to be done, the travel time to his feet means the balls already gone. But because his brains trying to concentrate on his feet, badly, it means he never heads the ball well either.

Crouch always reminds me of a new born baby giraffe every time I see him play football.

It would be like the 2nd coming of Ian Ormondroyd.

Southamptons signing of the striker Pelle from Feyernoord beat us to our ideal player to compliment all our decent crosses from Elmo etc
