Not personally. Just familiar with The Princess Royal’s work over the past 40 odd years or so.

She’s definitely the best of a bad bunch.

Work meaning going to exotic places , eating the best food and drinking the most expensive wines etc - and then getting a hefty allowance for doing so ……. Must be tough that !
Do you need me to explain the phrase ‘best of a bad bunch‘ ?

No -just explain what “work “ means <laugh>
I’m sure you already know the meaning of that in this context.

I suggest that you research the charity ‘work’ that Princess Anne has done over a number of decades and compare that to the ‘work’ that Kate Middleton has done.

If you can’t see the difference and you can’t see why I describe Princess Anne as worth more than Kate and you can’t see why I describe Anne as the best of a bad bunch, then I’m not going to be able to convince you, no matter how many facts I can present.

Perhaps you just don’t see any benefit in any of the charities that she helps.

Charities that support disabled children and adults, those with life changing and life ending illnesses, victims of abuse etc etc etc. Charities that make the lives of those less fortunate than you or I, just that little bit better.

Perhaps you just don’t see any of that as ‘work’ or worthwhile.

In which case I’ll just have to disagree with you and leave it at that.

Again your confusing eating and drinking with work - she’s never done a days “work “ in her life - please don’t feel the need to explain anything to me as again it’s down to opinions :emoticon-0148-yes:

If everything that she has ever done, all the lives that she has helped to improve, all the happiness she has given to disabled children, all the smiles she brought to terminally ill people before they passed away, is (in your opinion) not counted as work, then yes, you are right.

Based on what is apparently excluded from your opinion of what counts as work, she has indeed ‘never done a days work in her life’.

Indeed it’s not work - helping other people, to which I think I contribute to , is indeed a pleasure and very rewarding, but still not considered as “work” in my eyes :emoticon-0148-yes:

Strange life being a royal, not one I could handle with the papparrazzi and all that. It is a life of privilege, some of them appreciate it and some don't, but they're born into it, they don't have a choice. We also live a life of privilege compared to people in many parts of the world, with houses like palaces by comparison. Watching the C4 news is not comfortable viewing, with its focus on the reality of what's happening in the world's hell-holes, but it does make you realise that privilege is all relative.

Yes when you look at it like that we are privileged, but I have worked hard for what I’ve got - the Royals , and I’m not anti them , do not work as such :emoticon-0148-yes:

I' ve had jobs where I've worked hard, and also had jobs where I've sat on my ar5e doing sod all most of the day, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. You end up clock-watching and the time drags. I put on 2 stone when I was in maintenance at Shell and it took a long time to get it off. (the 2 stone that is<yikes>).
