The main thing was that due to a load of job cuts, where both me and our lass work, our lasses job was gone, which wasn't great just before Christmas. however, she has managed to get redeployed in another post within the organisation and on a higher grade than she was previously, so this was a massive relief for us. However, my department don't get reviewed until the end of January, so I don't know where I stand just yet..

crap when you are waiting to see if your job is under threat, i have been like that for ages now, just going from one month to the next.
Don't want to jack it in coz i will lose my redundancy money.
Fingers crossed you will get away with it as well.

Great news for your lass. I wish you all the luck in the world. I'm sure you'll be fine though.

In my case if they make me redundant they will have to make my pension up to retirement age, so although would still mean a massive drop in income, it would not be the end of the world. My main worry is that they try and downgrade my job role which has happened to a lot of people in other positions, but not in managers roles which i am in.. If they did try and downgrade me I would have to reconsider my position..

I will second that mate, I know you very well and for a number of years now in the real world, both you and smug attended my wedding and QWOP probably knows me better than I do, as for Somb, well he's been around longer than long, all sound lads in my eyes..

Blow ups will always happen on forums though as they do in life, people's persona at the time, lots of reasons personally but I always give people the benefit of the doubt until I have a beer with them. Like you say, one to many maybe but a good read all the same <laugh>

It will always blow up in cyber world, it's when it blows down then the forum will be an over 70's club, life isn't perfect in any shape or form for a lot on here but we always come back, tail between legs and then do it all again.

Personally I don't give a **** but there's lads on here who are probably misconstrued who I'd love to share a beer and banter with..<ok>

They keep the place interesting.. ;)
