Unfortunately it is. Average players go for alot of money. We paid £24M to get Maddison from the championship last year £30M is nothing nowadays for a player. The market has gone out of control years ago
We'll have to agree to disagree, and I think you might change your mind once you watch him week in week out. As I say though, perhaps Rodgers can extract more from him and most importantly get some form of consistency. Maddison is a top young English talent. He is an example I would give to support my view to be honest. £6m less but had far more suitors, English, younger with more potential. Just all round his value should be a lot higher than Perez. I still think Leicester are getting a decent player mind, just not a 30m one regardless of PL inflation.
This is more painful than I thought it would be. As one person put it, no manager, sell our top scorer, fail to re-sign our second top scorer. What's the point? Don't blame the lad. Will enjoy the memory of watching him score a winner below the Gallowgate end vs Pickford. But what a sad indictment of our club. please log in to view this image
Each to their own. He's certainly based on his time here. He may look better with better players in a more attacking team. May. You usually get more guarantees on £30m or at least they are below 21 so you can mould them. Lets be honest he's been **** more than good at Newcastle.
I think our style of play will suit him better as we play much more attacking and before Almiron came in your lacked creative spark. We already have that with Maddison and when Tielemans signs
Of course he will . Newcastle fans arent known for their intelligence mate... the only thing they shout about is their loyalty which is actually stupidity.
