    Thing is, you never know with Pards, he could hand it to someone like Cabaye who has experience of it to.

    Yeah, can see it being Saylor, or possibly even Jonas. Although, having said that, Cabaye could be a decent shout?

    This! Or Saylor.

    Imagine is smudger starts and gets the armband. I'd be dragging the meat grinder back out for round two.

    If Shola plays (depending on formation and if Best starts or not) then he'd be in with a shout.

    Santon wont play centre back, and a 3 man defence is 3 CBs, not a CB, LB and RB because that would be ridiculous.

    <ok>

    We played well under that system last season. Technically its 5 at the back but the wingbacks are allowed to roam down the flanks, a very good attacking formation as well as defensive.

    Yeah but we tryed playing that against Stoke away last season(5-3-2 formation) and we ended losing 4-0! :/.. I wouldn't want to try that formation again and especially not at Old Traforrd. Although for you guys it worked a treat because you had two proper ''wingbacks'' in Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly(?) if I'm correct. <ok>

    Correct, think now Enrique would be a more natural wingback ahead of kelly with his skill and crossing. The type of football you are playing now may suit the system a bit better, with Santon and Jonas as wingbacks, not sure with Colo out though. Any news on him yet?

    Good news. <ok>

    Just a small question...how come Santon never starts? Is it the theory of "if it aint broke, dont fix it" which I would give him full respect for due to your defensive record.

    Pretty much, he's fit and impressed for reserves and sub appearances. Pardew just has a thing where he wont drop a player in form for a big name, I think Guthrie might still have started if Tiote was fit today.

    That said, take away R Taylor's goals and he hasnt been amazing, cant wait for Santon.

    Good to see him stick with Raylor too, could have probably shot his confidence to bits had he been dropped. I'm sure he will have a cracking game today. Utd are poor at defending free kicks, especially if Giggs is in the wall. ;)
