Think everyone is just so worried about the very concept that they're extremely scared.

Perch in tomorrows starting 11, might be on my own but I believe he'll do a job for #nufc in midfield breaking up the play, support the lad!

If somebody is injured lets hope it is a midfielder and not a CB!

FABRICIO Coloccini has given Newcastle United a serious injury scare ahead of this afternoon's trip to Manchester United.

The Argentine, arguably the Magpies' best player this season, is believed to have suffered a back spasm which is threatening to rule him out of the Old Trafford game.

And it is of sufficient concern for manager Alan Pardew to call up Hungarian youngster Tamas Kadar, who is on stand-by to face Wayne Rooney and Co.

With Mike Williamson already ruled out, Pardew has always been fearful of an injury being picked up by either Coloccini or Steven Taylor.

And it is understood that the manager was worried enough about Coloccini's problem to rush a back specialist to Manchester last night to give his captain a closer look.

Although Coloccini has not been ruled out of the match, there is a real threat that Newcastle will have to field a different back four for the first time in the Premier League this season.

Kadar spent the majority of last season recovering from injury and after suffering another set-back in pre-season, the defender has had to fight his way back to fitness.

Since arriving in August 2009, the defender has been regarded as a top prospect, but a nightmare year has seen the 21-year-old fall out of the picture at St James' Park.

He is a regular in the reserves and it is understood that the Magpies' would have been receptive to loan offers before Thursday's Football League loan deadline.

Forgotten where I heard it, but I was told that Kadar has a big stage fright issue and gets so nervous before big games that he throws up and stuff :( if he goes out to play the lad should just go out and do his level best - nobody's expecting miracles and everyone makes mistakes <ok>

Sadly I've got this one chalked up as a heavy loss if I see that Colo's not on the teamsheet.

LOL only cos he's a chance to be starting in midfield <laugh>

All this Colo talk, has made me nervous about the game!

If there is god up there, please, please, please dont allow Perch onto the field! Yes, he seems like such a lovely chap. But for christsake, the man would be better as a fishmonger in the outer hebrides. Not, a footballer.

I know no-one rates perch but we have to give the lad a chance. We've had alot worse
in our starting line-ups over the years. We never get anything from
Old Trafford anyway so I don't see what the big crisis is. Don't get me wrong, I don't rate Perch either but
i'll support whoever runs out onto the pitch.

Same, and I understand what you're saying, but this is the best chance we've had to bean Man U in years if we put out a decent team. I feel Tiote and Cabaye could have really had their midfield on the ropes.

Surely Kadar and Gosling will be picked ahead of Perch, never rated Perch but he did alright for the last few minutes against City

I don't think I've ever been so devastated at an injury to a defender before. I'd rather put my leg through a meat grinder than have colo missing from the team sheet. If only Tiote was fit he could probably cover CM & CB but noooooooooo, he's injured too!

Interesting thought, who would be captain if Colo was injured? I can only see Saylor getting it personally.
