So in other words you're talking complete bollocks and haven't got a ****ing clue - people like you are worse than the ****ing Daily Fail and all the other rags
It's a comment based on an assumption. Does my sig say "investigative journalist"? You should come to terms that if Guardiola's Bayern really want Suarez they will most probably get him. And you have to think Suarez is a complete idiot not to have a 'sane' buyout clause in his contract based the results of Liverpool while he's been there. (I would make the same assumption if he was at Arsenal for that matter)
So are all Arsenal+all other Premier League players insane or will they all have buyout clauses in their contracts?, or is it just Suarez who's sane?
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and you are welcome to say you think Suarez will join Bayern (if they want him) but to suggest we need to 'come to terms' with it is a bit of joke / wum comment really isn't it? You rightly pointed out that your previous comment was based on assumption, this comment clearly is as well unless you know Suarez personally? also, you have to expect a bit of a backlash if you are basing opinions on assumptions
That's a bit ridiculous, just because your players desert you at the first sign of greener fields doesn't mean ours do the same .
Easy reminder of how far sports journalism has fallen. Who wrote this? I know its from the daily fail but in all seriousness its not to be taken seriously. Here's why: The article calls on a report that was published on one of the regular bullshit rumour sites. It initially states that the sum was brought up in December at a shareholder meeting. Problem is, Bayern didn't even have a board meeting in December. Their last one was in November. A quick fact check would disprove this rumour but that wouldn't sell papers. Second, it mentions the 240m sum. The actual monetary value declared by Bayern is in the region of €126m. That also is not the size of their transfer kitty, but their savings account and the result of years of accumulated wealth. That's basically the club coffer with which the primary relief for infrastructure and costs will come from. They are excited because it means that with frugality they can live off of the nest egg and not need much further investment. To suggest that they would spend it all on players is quite frankly moronic at best. They wouldn't dare. I would assume they would have a 30m kitty like most top clubs. Most of that would be generated from new income and outgoing transfers. As for Suarez, he has a contract until 2018 and if they want him they can pay out of their ass for him. Release clauses are also not the norm for Liverpool and I don't see why that would be different. We sold Torres without one and that worked out fine. Articles like this should be dissected, proved wrong, and dismissed. However I assume we will continue to provide page revenue and legitimacy to it by even talking about it.
can't argue with that, good post danilo if we had a release clause we would have had one on Torres, who was considered a very important player at the time.
Perhaps he's rubbing off on me, if you'll pardon the expression. On topic- we have to do our best to keep our top players and add to them. I know people get a bit excited about who we could buy if we got a good price, but we'd have to fork it all out again to buy anyone else at the same level. Swapping like for like (effectiveness, not style) is just going to keep us static.
