You may have a point about racism being at least more outspokeb, if not more widespread, in Spain than it is in England. That doesn't make Pep Guardiola racist though. I'd be very surprised if he was, he comes across as a thoughtful and well educated individual. Racism in my view is synonomous with ignorance, lack of education, and a desire to blame others for one's own problems. I very much doubt any of that applies to Guardiola.
I said I wasn't saying he was racist, but if he was it wouldn't be a surprise or an indictment of his character. People seem to forget that Spain was dictator run fascist country until the mid 70's, close to being a 3rd world country
**** is getting serious! Apparently, Yaya or his agent have slapped an African curse on Pep and City!
My ****ing idiot of a mother was from Trinidad and her **** of a husband was from Antigua. She was mixed raced and he was Afro Caribbean...They had ****ed up ******ed views of Africans which they did not have about any other group of people. And this disgusting attitude was probably their least **** feature
I do not pretend to be an expert but from my work with mainstream and the nutter end of kids and from being a dad, I have found kids to be extremely friendly, tolerant and supportive to all others unless they have been poisoned by adults (or other kids who have been poisoned by their adults)
Of course that’s the case. Two toddlers looking at each other see only another with two eyes, a nose, a mouth, two arms, two legs- another like themselves. Only later do miserable and hate filled minds tell these toddlers, “but he’s black/white” etc.
Exactly. I grew up in South London in and around Black Caribbean, Black African, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, and Chinese communities and as Kids we were just all from the same manor. It was only when I got a bit older that began to understand that some people had a deep seated fear and hatred towards people of colour. Even as a young lad, I remember going round to a mates houses with one of my black mates, and his Dad making all sorts of racist remarks about this lad. Remember even then thinking 'ya ****ing prick'. Some of my mates had to put up with that **** on the daily.
Try and remember your kids when they were 2, rather than after they've been conditioned not to be intolerant little ****s with no thought for anyone other than themselves, this is their true nature.
I have 2 girls who went to nursery. 1-3 yr old need to be taught not to have tantrums etc etc...but those tantrums are not based on discrimination of any kind...they happen because they do not yet know how to negotiate, reason and how to explain themselves. It is a continuation of of the baby behaviour of crying and screaming to get food, be changed, get a cuddle etc. Your original post sounded like you were saying we are all born racist and imo that is simply not true. Children are taught to be racist by adults or other kids who had been taught by their adults.
That's a fairy tale, we're born ****s and get taught tolerance as we have learned mutual self interest as a species.
That's a pretty ****ing gloomy take on human nature imo. We are social animals, and our survival individually and collectively depends upon our ability to live harmoniously with our fellows. So it follows that we are born with just as many sociable genes as selfish ones imo. In other words no, we are not born "****s", nor are we born little angels. We are born with often conflicting traits and impulses. We are also all born capable of and in need of love.
