Is that what that distant sound is from the middle of the Championship? I thought it was that Italian bloke washing his cash!

It's the sound of a club with loyal fan base still intact after years of hardship. Not the sound of cash registers you're used to

They had some success in the late 60's and early 70's. They cheated their way to it though under a manager who turned the game ugly, hence they became reviled. They then chased out a genius manager who probably would have won them the European Cup, disappeared for years, briefly reappearing in the early 90's, before becoming a gambler's hobby and then the plaything of various money launderers.

The almost unique thing about Lids is that despite having limited success and being largely irrelevant for its entire existence, it is a universally despised club. People have no reason to hate them, they just hate them because they are Lids!

    You beat me to it!

Their attendance is impressive for the Championship though. They get almost as many as Brighton. But where are the 15,000 who went missing post Ridsdale's sterling work? They must be Manchester United fans now!

The only sound from your fans is your knuckles scraping along the floor as you walk.

All clubs have their rivals. But you lot are hated by everyone, here and abroad for the thuggish inbreds you are. Remember that <ok>

Champions League semi final one year... Johnston's Paint Trophy semi final two years later. The story of Leeds United.

Ive supported them since 68 and travelled many times a year to Elland road regardless of divisions. Few of your lot could be bothered getting out of an armchair to watch them. I know cos I've several mates exactly like that. All talk about United and spending money and have never seen them live. Pathetic and not what I'd call support. You're nothing but an American franchise

So you're not from Leeds but started supporting them in 1968 when they coincidentally won the league in 1968/9.

You're a glory hunter who backed the wrong horse, simple as that! Fair play to you for sticking with them though. Do you ever go to away games or do you not fancy being in the minority when it comes to a scuffle?

Thanks for dropping by, now toddle off back to your cesspit of disappointment, envy and hatred!

By the way, you clearly have a high opinion of your "mates"!

No glory hunter here. My support is not dependent on trophies bought unlike you lot paying a fat ****er 300k a week to sit on a bench and a German who can't run. Your franchise model is a miserable disaster. Just think of all the disappointed kids and daddies tomorrow morning when all they open their franchise jerseys. Still Rooney doesn't mind spending the proceeds while laughing at ye

Better than getting demoted and having your best player in a generation coming to us having sworn he never would. Smith certainly had the last laugh at Leeds fans expense :)

You started supporting a team that isn't local to you because they were doing well = you're a glory hunter. It's that simple fella. That's what the definition of a glory hunter is.

As I said, fair play to you for sticking with them, your average attendances demonstrate that a lot of people chose not to. You must have found some kindred spirits amongst the Lids vermin and felt at home!

Whilst I loathe the Glazers I doubt they'd consider the amount of money United generates and its ability to stay in the upper echelons of the PL even when things are going badly as a disaster. Had Ridsdale had a modicum of business acumen then Lids might still be a PL club instead of a front for foreign crooks to launder their money.

I get why you're bitter. In 1968 you could have chosen Lids, United or City to throw your glory hunting behind. You chose Lids. That decision worked out well to begin with but **** me was it a bad one in hindsight!

Based on the sample size and population, that says a lot more about your mates than about the average Utd fan. Unless you are claiming to have 10,000 mates of course...

It baffles me as to why you'd spend your Christmas eve throwing a load of clichés into a paragraph, as if any of us give a **** what you think.

How pathetic, sad, pointless and bitter is your existence?

He's a Leeds fan. Even worse, a 1968, I can't believe how it's turned out, all my mates chose United and I laughed at them when they got relegated, Leeds fan.

He was your star player at the time lad. Local lad symbolised your club and local support. Shat on you and jumped a sinking ship, whichever way you cut it. Won more as well <ok>
