A 10 year old with better ideology than some on here.

It's still a better reason for it not to happen, than any of Allams disciples have come up with for it to happen.

Which match was that then? One of the league cups? If so I'd have no idea if i went. I think I went to most League Cup matches as all our group did, but missed the occasional. Never for weather or ****ness of opponent though. Don't think I'd strut around pointing it out to try and prove any of my points though (I rarely have one). There were better supporters than me. One of our group was Andy Dalton and he never missed a match for 10 or 15 years. Not possible for me.

To be fair, if all the people who claimed to be at some of the 90s matches actually had been, we'd never have been near administration so I always take peoples claims with a pinch of salt unless I know them.

Likewise it boils my piss when people use terms like ' plastics ' to refer to new supporters presumably on the basis that our fan base is so small every time we sell out for a big game it's because non real supporters ie 'plastics' fill out the ground. That's when it's important to have at least a cursory grasp of our history.

Its just the same people who believe we shouldn't be cheeky enough to expect a place at the top of the top table.

    He's not a dictator!

He's not saying this is how it is, if you don't like it tough.

He's saying this is how it is, if you don't like it then pull off an impossible feat and find £100m overnight. If you can't do the impossible, then tough.

    There's a difference, he's giving us a choice, that's not dictatorial.

I'm an old git who's been going since '72 and most of the first 30 years it was grim, I actually envy any supporter under 25 because all you have known is success, I suppose we all winge about the past because were jealous that the young uns haven't had the terrible times I've seen.

It's a massive thrill to see Hull City on Match of The Day every week, before the Premiership I think we were on about 5 times in 20 odd years, long May it continue

It's great times for the team, pity the owner can't put the name change to bed, he's backed himself into a corner with his name change idea and can't lose face to back out.

It was 1,775 and I remember being there, not for the size of the crowd, but because Helen Chamberlain brought the Sheff Wed band with her.

The original poster has missed the point completely. It is not about age.

As kids we were teased, picked on, insulted.....etc etc for supporting City. We chose to support our local team, whereas a lot of others in Hull supported and walked around in Leeds, Liverpool, Man U shirts. Being one of the hardcore 4-5,000 fans who went week in week out, we became a close knit bunch.

Then all of a sudden we started to do well and 15-20 thousand 'extra' fans turned up. Yes, I agree some of these would be true City fans, who supported City for the same reasons that we did. But the large majority of the huge increase in fans are there because we were successful. These are the people who would have teased, insulted, pick on us, when we were kids. And therein lies the resentment.
