Pennant...

Have I missed something regarding Pennant? We know he's not in our leader's plans, although he would be in many of ours. But he's not listed on the Stoke City website in the player profiles and he's not listed on the premier league website as one of our squad:

If he's not in the squad he can't play, but when was he dropped and were we told anything about it?

One guy must have been about five weeks back said to me. " Pennant will never play for Stoke again, trust me" did he know something the rest of us did not I don't know.
When I mentioned we need Pennant today guys as the crosses from Shott's we're woeful. The same guy said " Why keep mentioning Pennant, we all know Pulis won't play him" Not sure what to think Smit...

I'm well hacked off either way. IF he's done wrong so what? IF he is no longer a Stoke player. Pulis should at least have the balls to tell us the fans why he isn't.

I noticed that yesterday, had a look around, found one page saying he's still at Wolves, but nothing to verify it, and another saying we've still got him, but are letting his contract run down, letting him go as a free. Again nothing to verify it though. It's been clear for a while now he was never gonna get back in, so why the **** did we not sell him, or ship him off for free, so at least we weren't paying the guys wages? It's certainly fits with some of the TP "sabotage" theories circulating.

I don't know Smithers, but the link given in the OP only has 22 players, and BBC sports page lists 23 (Jaimie Ness being the one missing from the first list).
I don't know if we only named 22, can't remember now.

This is from the Stoke website from February and confirms a 25 man squad, including Pennant!

There are no other news articles about Pennant, except him playing in a friendly against Scunthorpe on Feb 18th.

That's why I was confused over Pennant.. I remember Radio Stoke reported that res game vs S****horpe and that Pennant had taken part. So we're still paying him I assume?

Who knows if we're paying him or not? There's a similar thread on The Oatcake and someone posted that he'd been paid up and had gone. I'm sure the club will reveal all when they see fit...
