Half your board went hysterical that Chelsea dared even make the accusation based only on the word of one player (Rameres) who's first language was not even one the alleged insult took place in. Duh? You, UIR and that obsessive cretin ChristianSmith objected to the fact that every time HE brought up Suarez (which was often) I came on and actually quoted the report, and also my propensity for pointing out that Rio was charged and convicted of the same transgression (E3(2)) that Suarez and Terry were. At least you, unlike Smith, never actually got around to calling me a racist and being a member of theKKK for doing this, but you banned me because when your lot brought up Suarez time after time, I wiped the floor with them with actual quotes from the full 115 pages of the whitewash report: a report it's ****ing evident that you, along with most of the drunken deadbeats of Fleet St, have never read. If you don't like being corrected with fact you shouldn't be sitting piously on that high horse on your board, pompously condemning the likes of Suarez and Mikel when it suits your case, as if the Schmeichal - Wright incident never happened. What's more, you shouldn't be a moderator if you're going to use your powers to stifle free-speech and any factual arguments that don't fit your agenda. You should be on the next FA panel though, and given ferguson's influence over these things, that's probably not beyond the realms of possibilty. But you shouldn't be on our ****ing board - not if you can't take that which you dish out. And it's blindingly evident that you can't.
The solution is really simple if they ball alters in direction or speed from the shot, cross pass or whatever then it is a pen ( i agree that it was a pen on sun ) the debate is whether it is a sending off a card or no card and that is what should be left to the refs discretion. Do you remember the spurs game where keane dived on the line to save a goal bound shot and the ball hit his arm, clearly ball to hand so therefore should have been no pen, ref clearly and correctly observed the ball was going in and so imho gave a pen but he sent keane off (incorrectly imho) Tbf we need a penalty goal like in rugby for moments like that or the suarez handball in the world cup.
Back to the Penalty, do you think if it had been Eva struck on the hand that Guy Demel would have been accused of racially motivated assault! lol
what we really need is punishment given to blatant cheats like Henry and the scandalous way he cheated the irish out of going through. the Suarez situation was dealt with at the time fairly with a red card and penalty to the opposition, NOT Suarez fault that he missed the pen is it? and also i don't care what anyone says, we would all be trying to ruddy justify it if it was a ruddy Enlgish player(assuming you supported England obviously) who had done the same,but because its Suarez, hey lets all jump on the ruddy band wagon what Henry done was a million times worst, but there has never been a big issue made out of that, strange!! only every time Suarez farts out of tune its headline news!
The actual penalty isn't the issue as much as the seasons decisions as a whole. We're getting **** all so far and only the dumbest of rival fans will argue with that...granted Allens penalty could get called either way as could the challenge on Shelvey but the simple fact is a 50/50 decision in our games right now becomes an 80/20 decision. No big deal we're well used to it. Just because we're on here discussing penalty decisions doesn't mean we aren't happy with the result. Check the match thread for that. This however is a thread about...er...penalties
Ah well, dodgy referee decisions are out of our control. So let's focus on what is within our control i.e. cutting out mistakes - and we seem to have done that, and you can see the improvement and confidence as each game passes.
Really not fussed that it was suarez could quote loads of others but i feel it unfair the pen was missed as it was going in, i also highlighted keane for spurs. No wouldnt be complaining if england but would still feel bad for any other nation (bar the french). Just think they should consider a rule change for those circumstances. Ours was still handball though in my opinion just hope all are given for whoever this season but they wont be Ps i love suarez and think he brill
