Whilst I recognise Prouds spelling idiosyncrasies - I have also read several quotes over the last couple of days from Proud praising Pelts - He does though see his weaknesses

Wish him the best of luck at Leeds, a pretty good RB but too suspect defensively here, personally I'm happy with De Laet and Moore at Leicester, though I wouldn't object to a cheeky bid for Kyle Naughton!

Bang average defender. Could have kept him but 800k is more than he's worth.

Shame, I had decent hopes for him and it was probably me that OLM is quoting.

Pelts is an average championship player. He hasnt got enough about him for a team pushing for play offs thats why Nigel is letting him go. Decent back up but not first choice

OLM, it really doesn't matter who posted that one year ago. We all had high hopes for Peltier, and it didn't come off. He's not the worst signing made by Sven, but he was in the bottom half. As others have said, he's average. We need better than average.

I was just taking the piss slightly, as you lads claim that everyone you sign is amazing, despite not actually knowing anything about them.

We all do it, you just seem to do it rather more than most.

As Danger spotted, it was Proud's post.

Out of all the signings last season Peltier had big boots to fill because beforehand we had Kyle Naughton who was class and the best right back in the league by a country mile. John Pantsil came in a flopped. Peltier was ok but still not good enough

Out of all Svens signings Peltier was one of the better ones but that don't say alot. Apart from Kasper and Nugent none of them was runaway success'

Peltier was one of League 1's best defenders the season before and probably Huddersfield's best players with one of the best defensive records in the league.

Shame he couldn't make the step up, but Proud was hardly far off in his comments. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a crystal ball.

As Wizard has said. The amount of spunk produced by your fans after signing an unknown German nobody is what is really laughable.

Has the hun scored yet? played again today ,not on the score sheet............If this goes on for much longer I shall consider starting the memorial "has gary birtles scored yet" thread.... in the german lads honour... (for those who don't know..when birtles signed for Man.u as their centre forward from forest, he played 28 games in his first season without scoring a goal...could we on the brink of greatness again? <laugh>

Nobody has jizzed themselves over Vardy. As much as you'd like to think we have.

and despite the fact that Vardy has scored for our club. We will see who scores the most come May 2013. I think it will be Nugent
