You can't fault Skuse for what he does off the ball, although he can make rash tackles sometimes when he gets too tight to his man but although he's been better in recent games he still does my head in, he has the ability but he never grabs the game by the scruff of the neck and dictates play when he should. Hyam has looked rusty the past couple of games but for me the player who should be playing in that DM role is Tabb, he breaks up play but also shows some urgency and is half decent on the ball (plus he's not a winger) my favoured midfield if all fit and a 3 would be Bru, Tabb and Bishop at the moment. When we played under Burley, Royle and Jim our players first thoughts were play the ball forward, if we can't pass sideways or backwards to keep the ball unfortunately with this team half of them look to pass backward first and Skuse is the epitomy of this whilst others seem in a rush to get the ball in the goal as quickly as possible, we definitely need to be far more measured in our play. But at the end of the day Mick has built a typical Mick team and typical Mick teams typically get out of this league, it may be a continuous grind but it's effective. His teams never lack workrate endeavour but always quality. You can't get anywhere in any division without teamwork and togetherness but quality is needed if you really want to progress
