There's going to be some epic meltdowns this season that's for sure!! If they are getting this excited over a win in a friendly, just imagine the reaction when they have their annual season collapse late winter.
I'm particularly looking forward to listening to the rants and meltdowns of Arsenal87. He never ceases to crack me up! I know that PISKIE will always defend him, because he's a fellow Gooner, but you know that 87 is a perpetual embarrassment to all Wenger-ites.
I agree. They are very funny. On a more serious note, let's hope Chelsea win the title again this season. For the sake of football and sport in general, it is important that clubs like Chelsea defeat the likes of big-(net)-spending bus-parking Arsenal
I agree, CFC. Le Prof has set out his stall, I think; and the last thing I want is a North London club playing "park the bus" football. It's obvious that Chelsea are going to play a more attacking, Spurs-style, game.
To be fair, PISKIE, there wasn't anything sexy about that game. I would like to think that, in the event that Arsenal go 1 up in the Prem, they won't park the bus, and will try to press for a second. However, I suspect that you Gooners are going to be paying the highest ticket prices in the world, to watch the dullest football in the world. Chelsea got away with it last season, because they didn't charge their fans such ridiculous prices.
PISKIE has never been near a football ground so does not understand why Gooners resent paying the highest prices in world football. Putting ten men behind the ball in a friendly shows how desperate Wenger is to get the Jose monkey off his back
Meh ... I've travelled the length and breadth of this country following Arsenal over the years. It's expensive now I admit, and I no longer live in London. But I still get up to a few games at the Emirates when I can.
Yes, but it was a risky tactic. If Chelsea had scored first, I could have seen them going on to get another 2 or 3. Luckily, a wonder goal from the OXO saved your blushes, before you parked the bus.
You're talking out of your arse again my friend. Chelsea were lucky not to concede 2 or 3. Both Cazorla and Gibbs should have scored too.
Meh. Perhaps. But it didn't happen, so we can all speculate what may have happened. My opinion is as valid as yours, on that score.
Opinion is subjective, facts are concrete. The only fact is that Arsenal beat Chelsea and Maureen proceeded to have a hissy fit about it
It was pre-season so both teams were a bit rusty, but Arsenal still played some good football and didn't let Chelsea have a sniff. The league games will be a lot tougher I'm sure, but we needed to get that monkey off of our backs with the whole Maureen and Wenger record.
