Ladbrokes, NP evens and Keane at 5/4. I'd still say Keane on that, the difference is that reporter starting on about NP making more people bet on it without any first hand information.
And several have closed their books on this one - which makes it even more suspicious. Betfred certainly had a price earlier today. I think Coral did too - certainly the field of bookies has narrowed by two or three since this morning, which implies it might be game over. Burnsey needs to ask the question again tomorrow and pin him down even if he storms off. But this info must be coming from within the camp surely - one of the backroom team maybe?
William Hills have closed their book now as well. Ladbrokes still standing alone at evens for NP and 5/4 for Keane. Whilst I'd normally say the majority of bookies must know something, would ladbrokes be daft enough to leave the odds at evens despite the rest of the market closing down if they didn't think there was something else going on?
np is going nowhere.fact ffs if you've not noticed he lets ap make a statement and dosn't go against it. he dosn't feel the need to comment on the matter becuase the club have made a statement on the matter and he feels he dosn't have make another comment on the matter. let him know how much love there is for him tomorrow,if you don't believe me.
If someone really knows something, there would be tweets going off all over the shop. Bookies have to balance the books, there is obviously a lot of money going on Nigel, and it's not worth taking anymore (just in case). But the punters putting up cash don't know any better than the rest of us, and they are driving the odds.
The odds generally on this are a joke (as they always are on next manager books). The Skybet book for instance is 94% over round just up to and including Kevin Keegan at 12/1. The bookmakers on next managers react to any rumour. The East Midlands BBC equivalent of Look North bigged up NP as being the next manager so the bookmakers react. Sorry I better explain the over round comment for non-punters. If Skybet take money on all the contenders at the same weighting as the odds they advertise, i.e. 8/13 (NP) is about 63% (£63.00), Martin O'Neill 11/4 is about 27% (£27.00), etc., they will take in £194.00 but only pay out £100.00. You can see therefore they are not taking any chances in reacting to any rumours, etc. Bear in mind on Skybet they also offer odds on many more possible contenders at 25/1, 33/1, 40/1, etc. The book therefore could be said to be probably in the region of 125.00%+ over round.
money spent on playing squad '****ing loads' soft manager............sacked. kick up the arse................roy keane
il stick my dick in a box of lobsters if NP leaves .. No chance... I think NP not answering what he considers to be a stupid question is just the way he is hence why he didn't even want to talk about it... I think he is enjoying his time here and having started to build his team I'm sure he wants to see it through.. here's hoping he is still here at the end of next season.. Nigel Pearsons Black and Amber Army...win lose or draw tomorrow as long as we play to our best il be happy ...
William Hill and some others always close at around 10pm - so dont worry too much. We have had MON, Keane and Clark at odds on favs before. Its all bollocks - nobody has a diddly squat as to what is going on. You will never get a straight answer from NP - surely he has been there long enough now for you to realise that. The local news have said that he is number 1 target, and the font of all knowledge for LCFC rumours (with a really good track record) has posted Nigel Pearsons blue and white army on foxestalk. However, both had previously stated that Clark was going to be the new manager. Suggest that you be patient, as some foxes fans have been on the pc all day praying that MON will return - currently 134 pages and 2673 posts on foxestalk. Chill pills all
HDF speculates that Leicester is to make formal bid next week: http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-13763453-detail/story.html
Odds are driven by the amount of money put on a bet. TWF must of broke into his piggy bank again.<biggrin>
