I haven't looked at who's in their teams, but I do know that Spain have got de Gea in goal.

I think Hoddle is the right fit for the U21 job. He'll install the correct attitude and playing style of the players, maturing them ready for the major tournaments in the senior side. At the moment, the players attitudes towards the International side is a complacent, relaxed one and in the major Tournaments (the last few World Cups for example) they don't play with enough heart and drive to succeed.

It has to start young and be brought throughout the younger sides. Hoddle for me.

Although I wouldn't mind Gary Neville, I think he'd be a similar influence and with years under Sir Alex Ferguson, he'll know how to create a team with drive.

What's he about 5th choice for the seniors?

Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of England's best attacking players at the moment, so playing him in the U21s would seem ridiculous to me.

The best England team I have ever seen was under Hoddle. At Le Tournoi we actually outclassed both France and Brazil and looked genuine world beaters with Scholes incredible. If only he'd kept his mouth shut...

If only our FA had some balls instead of dancing to the media's tune.....

That for me is part of the problem, Roy is far too easy a target and Pearce somehow immune despite the former having an excellent management career and the latter an unmitigated disaster. But Stu gets let off cos he shouted as a player.

That team Pearce had should not lose to Israel or 3-0 to Norway, FACT.
