You cant just connect the PS3 Controller and start playing games, you need to install a driver and a program, this tells you how to do it.

never tried it myself though, but Keyboard and Mouse does me, i like that better than controllers.

**** ye ... i just connect the joypad and windows 7 ultimate finds the drivers automatically. Invest in a good os <ok> win95 just aint gonna cut it

I will have to try it tomorrow, my kids are in bed now so cant get a controller, but why would Microsoft Windows have drivers for a Sony PS3 controller natively, they may do, but i just cant see the sense in that, 360 controller yes, PS3 one will have to try and see.
 
You wanna hit up some of the older RTS games like Command and Conquer, Red Alert, Warcraft 2 etc
