City would sell out every week but that ugly ****er scares the bairns man. He's also a disruptive influence, was ****e in the main last season, and is a fair bit older than Mig playing in a less specialised position. Did I mention he's a reet ugly ****er? Yes? Well, he is.
I think goalkeepers values are far less than they should be, a goal keeper is just as important as any outfield player in my opinion - so in my eyes 9Mil is a bargain. After last seasons performances I don't even think we paid too much over the odds for Henderson, he's really come on good. He's bulked right out and some of his performances have been excellent - he's still young and will still improve. But when you consider the fee's we paid for Carroll, and Downing - then Henderson look a bargain! At this moment in time I would have been more than happy to have got Henderson for anything under 14mil - so yeah you did get a good deal, but with us now getting Mig for 9mil - perhaps that levels things out nicely. Either way, I'm looking forward to see what PDC does with you guys and good luck for next season.
I'd like to know, realistically, what people would've deemed acceptable for mig and why a lot think we've been screwed for 9m (even though that's estimated as the only people who know the exact amount are the club). He's the most expensive ever to move between 2 British clubs. We wouldn't have got anywhere near £9m next season. As has been said, Tevez went for £10m in the last year of his contract. That's a striker already playing at a top club with a wealth of experience. Mignolet is a keeper with experience only in the EPL. Another thing I'd ask is what justification Di we have in being annoyed at the price? Why do we expect more? Is it David de Gea? Personally, looking at the facts, i don't think its bad
Westwood a ready made, well capable, bloody good keeper. The rest of it. - buy for 2m, sell for 10m, buy a replacement, (while Pickford develops) for say 2-3m. With the scouts we have now there`s no reason we can`t get another Mig. 5-6m more to put to good use which we wouldn`t have had. Sounds ok to me.
