Fernandes sees the team as hamstrung by the four injuries to defenders, and it must be said, it was unlucky. So he will give Hughes a chance.

Ferdinand, Bosingwa and Traore all looked off the pace at West Brom which is perhaps not surprising given they had just been brought back in emergency circumstances.

The international break came at a good time for them and Hughes. On Sunday, there will be no excuses.

It's perfectly correct that the Chairman should be trying to protect the manager, I would think less of TF if he didn't. It's a team game including the the back room staff and they should all be seen as shoulders together standing as one even if they privately think differently.

That 'toe the line' post was correct - why did you delete it? - Nothing wrong with educating the peasants amongst us (I am including myself in that by the way)

Here's a 'what if?' for you.

TF sticks to his guns and backs Hughes to the hilt. We muddle on to the next transfer window where Hughes will say that he needs funds to reinforce areas that have been a problem i.e. couple of defenders and another striker. We drop them into the 1st team as would be expected as this was what we did last January and we have the remainder of the season to avoid relegation. Deja Vu?

The question is what if that doesn't work and QPR drop down to the Championship? TF has said that eventuality won't stop his involvement in the club but it will be much harder to attract sponsors, investors and players if we are not in the Premiership. Mark Hughes has walked out on Fulham already for being a club that did not match his ambitions, what is to stop him legging it if we go down?

I think I trust TF to stick with us when the going gets rough, I am not convinved Sparky will want to be a Championship manager and promise to bring us straight back up. Seems his ambition only goes one way.

Here's to the start of the revolution on Sunday against Everton, all 3 points, UP THE R'S!!!!!!!!

Fair enough. I had always assumed it was 'tow' though as in towpath and the horses pulling the boats ie 'tow the line'

Even if we're flying and playing really well people will criticize certain aspects of things so in the end the chairman will never win.Keeping everyone happy is impossible and even my normal patient persona snapped after the last result.

If we start to win games then the criticism will tail off until the next defeat as that is the nature of football. On the other side of the coin if the run of not winning how long do you leave it before the club suffers?.There lies the fine balance between knee jerk and patience.

Yea, that Fernandes bloke is awful. Wake up. He's the best thing that's happened to this club for years. We're moving (albeit slowly) in the right direction. If I was him and I had hundreds or thousands of armchair wannabe football coaches tweeting me after every bad result, I'd get pissed off with it too. I'm a season ticket holder and I see nothing wrong in what he's said whatsoever.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill, which is exactly what TF is alluding to in his tweets.

Agree with you Bob but I've got to say that TF wanted 2 way traffic on Twitter and by 'eck hes getting it. Personally I think sometimes he's 'too available' plus I think Twitter is completely stupid....have you seen what the British Ambassador to Chile has 'tweeted' today?

He put himself on Twitter and asked for feedback, he can hardly complain if people take him up on it, positive or negative!

True enough, I don't think he envisaged the type of 'feedback' he'd be getting when things weren't going so well. Having said that, some of the things QPR fans tweet to him are ridiculous, disrespectful and sometimes downright rude. There's really no need for that at all. I could understand maybe if it was December time and we were rooted to the bottom of the table and he didn't seem to want to do anything about it. But after 7 games with a huge turnaround of players and the manager in his first full season, not for me.

Sadly Bob people aren't always respectful, intelligent or even right. TF can hardly complain that the responses are not 100% favourable.

Twitter = load of old cobblers

And just to bait you........................its not 7 games, its no away win under Hughes at all that is screwing us

Sorry, but that is a shocking post.

I think TF has been pretty grounded since he joined the club - not sure what these delusions of grandeur 3 months ago were? His plan or "vision" was always long term no?

"Rather than being the reassuring chairman/owner that we expected of him" - in my view, this is exactly what he has been doing all along...he has a vision, he believes in it, he keeps telling the fans that...Hughes is part of his current plans...nothing has changed...not sure how you can think the opposite?

"not a true fan of the club" - we knew that when he came on board, but that said, he has done nothing but try and improve the club, the squad and the future for us?

What this man has done for the club, along with the rest of the board, has been remarkable in my book...I know some may disagree, so each to their own n all that!

    I don't do twitter mate!
I also have never called for Hughes to be sacked......I just want him to get his selections right before it's too late.
I take the point that Fernandes comments are more aimed at the idiots giving him abuse than a season ticket holder like me who's getting a tad concerned!
    Still.....a good talking point eh?

Good response Jammers. I would really worry if our fans drive TF away with over-the-top opinions like that.
