No but we're bigger than you! Clegg has said that there has been a clear breach of the contract and Swansea still owe us the money. If its just purely an administrative oversight on your club's part then fair enough, pay the bill and its all forgotten!
Thing is nothing will be paid unless your club can show that legally we must pay, a £160k is rather a lot of money, and if the club want us to pay, the proof must be given, its funny that your chairman didn't ask for the money 3 weeks ago when jenkins and him spoke!
Johnny If the swans owe you money it will be paid make no mistake about that, Swansea will sort this out next week, but they will make sure that they pay whats due and not a penny more, it appears that swansea discussed this issue with him a few weeks back and there was no problem, now he is off to the premier league with his invoices,
I was just going to say this thread makes a welcome change from the usual "banter" with the Budgies-too late!
surely even if you are a die hard tractor boy, you can't deny that the swans are a massiver club than ipswich town
Massiver is not even a word...................and as the saying goes...."one swallow does'nt make her my girlfriend" or something like that...
Judging by this comment it begs the question what has Swansea and Norwich both got in common? They may be in the Premier League but their education system is definately non league! Just to make another point you may be in the Premier League now for one season but Ipswich were founder members. Come back when you have won the two big domestic honours a European trophy and have played over 50 games in European Competitions! Ipswich haven't played in the 3rd tier of English football since 1959! Just remind me when were you last in League 1 playing in front of crowds of less than 8,000? One bit of success and the boyo's go mad! just a shame they can't pay their bills on time!
Well if the Swans legally owe you money it will be paid, blabbing in the press is not helping matters , and as both chairmen spoke only a few weeks ago, its amazing that money was not discussed if it was owed, still I suppose that is how you do business
I am personally embarassed about the way we have gone about this. Could this not have been done behind closed doors without the whole 'please put a transfer embargo on Swansea' ****. We are all proud of our family image at this club, Roy Keane didn't fit that image and many of us bitched about that but we are happy to condone this behaviour. It smacks of desperation and childishness but really noone knows what has been said between the two parties. Maybe the swans are being a bit difficult and Clegg feels the need to go public to get results. It is all speculation though.
