Yeah all true, not as simple as you think though and it's the club's who drive all this to make millions of pounds. As a fan I'm not complaining like but going to games is something I have to budget for same as the TV package I pay for. What I get right now I'm happy with so that's all that matters I suppose.
I'm the opposite, live live footy and would like to go more often. Took my youngest to WWE years ago and didn't enjoy it.
WWE it has to be a televised showing, not a dark one. The dark ones usually have the better "wrestling" as without TV they have free reign to do as they please. But the TV has got the fireworks, banging music, big **** Loved it
I’ll watch any televised sport, but pay £15 for it? No ****ing chance. Bored with football already, and if I don’t get back in a stadium soon, I’m likely to **** it off altogether. For the record, I love live music, but I wouldn’t pay to watch a concert on telly either.
Music is another thing that has got silly, the first of some tickets for so called big artists is crazy. Quite lucky that a lot of the bands I like are still playing small venues and are quite cheap but now and then a big band comes along and the price is shocking.
Over this Covid thing a lot of musicians did online exclusives and I did get tempted and pay for one £16 do very close to this discussion. I enjoyed it but don't think I'd do it again.
I don’t go to see many big names either, much prefer the less commercial acts in small venues. But I was prepared to pull up for Carlos Santana at the O2 last year. Not at £180 per ticket I wasn’t though.
Yeah, I actually have a few mates who are musicians, and I feel for them not being able to work. Still not willing to pay for a televised concert though. I have roomfulls of CDs and vinyl ffs.
Paid £64.50 for my Nick Cave tickets which is not too bad. Starting to wonder if it'll ever go ahead though. It was rescheduled to end of April but just can't see that happening right now.
Paid £85 for Springsteen at Wembley a couple of years back. That’d be my upper limit. Result though, as we got upgraded and moved from miles away in the upper tier, to right near the stage.
Went to see Pearl Jam many years ago at the MEN Arena and it was right at the back, complete waste of time and money.
Spent 600 quid on AJ v Parker a couple of years ago. **** fight. Waste of money. Wasn’t even that close to the ring.
