As far as I know they don't owe to Rapid, but they do owe a third party who structured the deal for them. Nothing wrong with it, but it is messy and I'd imagine costly.

please log in to view this image £3.5m I am led to believe Jelavic has a personal sell on clause(10%), as do Rapid(20%). They also owe money for buying him in the first place. To a third party or to Rapid is really inconsequential.
